They moved into their dream house and suddenly discovered that something was wrong. The long-term stay in the new housing was cramped and uncomfortable, even though there is a lot of space inside. Acoustics have been forgotten, even though they are essential for the comfort and convenience of the home!
It is proven that a large audible echo is unpleasant for a long-term stay. For sensitive people, the echo causes headaches and activates migraines.
Interior acoustics are best thought of from the beginning already in the design itself, unfortunately it is often neglected by architects and interior designers. At the same time, the perception of sound (noise / silence) is much more important for human comfort than design or a view of the landscape.
We also have a solution for the demanding (and not only them).
We stylishly completed the interior with Silentmax3D design acoustic panels so that they fit into the existing implementation as best as possible. Their shape was inspired by the surrounding landscape, the design was designed by Mgr. Art. Vojtěch Moškoř and we realized their desired shape using Silentmax3D acoustic slats.
Thanks to the changing light during the day, the slats change their shadows. In the morning, afternoon and evening at sunset, it changes its visual appearance similarly to mountains in nature. They also look different in the evening under artificial lighting.
Realization of the acoustic extension
We added an acoustically absorbing area of 8.6 x 1.6 m² to the living room above the French windows. Above the upstairs gallery, we added an acoustically absorbing area of 8.6 x 2.1m², which reaches up to a height of 7.5m.
The result is a much calmer living environment. All normal activity noises have quieted down. Chopping vegetables, clinking cutlery on a plate, placing a glass on the table is much less loud. The spoken word on the TV is already intelligible and even the music can be heard without an echo like in a church.
